Renault today launched the all- New Renault Duster in India at very aggressive prices. On top of the value-for-money pricing, there’s a standard 7-year/1,50,000 km warranty to sweeten the deal. Here’s how the all-new Duster’s ex-showroom prices compare with all the key rivals.

The all-new Renault Duster is available in India with 1.0- and 1.3-litre turbocharged petrol engines. 1.0-litre is a manual-only variant priced from Rs. 10.29 lakh to Rs. 13.19 lakh with pre-bookings and Rs. 10.49 lakh to Rs. 13.49 lakh normally. The 1.3-litre variant is available in manual and automatic, new renault duster with prices starting at Rs. 12.69 lakh to Rs. 18.09 lakh with pre-bookings and Rs. 12.99 lakh to Rs. 18.49 lakh normally.

The Tata Sierra is the closest rival of the all-new Renault Duster, and it is available with 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol, 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol, and 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engines. The naturally aspirated petrol engine and turbocharged diesel variants are available with manual and automatic transmissions, priced in the range of Rs. 11.49-16.79 lakh and Rs. 12.99-21.99 lakh, respectively. The turbocharged petrol variant is only available with an automatic transmission, priced in the range of Rs. 17.99-20.99 lakh.

The Hyundai Creta, the best-selling model in the segment, is also offered in 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol, 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol, and 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel variants. The naturally aspirated petrol engine and turbocharged diesel variants can be purchased with manual and automatic transmissions, and they cost between Rs. 10.79 and 18.97 lakh and Rs. 12.40 and 20.20 lakh, respectively. The turbocharged petrol variant can only be purchased with an automatic transmission, with prices starting at Rs. 19.49 lakh and going up to Rs. 20.05 lakh

The recently launched all-new Kia Seltos is also available with 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol, 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol, and 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engines, but with a choice of manual and automatic transmissions across the range. Its prices fall in the Rs. 10.99-19.49 lakh for the naturally aspirated petrol variant, 12.59-19.99 lakh for the turbocharged diesel variant, and Rs. 12.89-19.99 lakh for the turbocharged petrol variant.

Tata sierra,

The VW Taigun, which will be facelifted soon, is available in 1.0- and 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol variants, both with manual and automatic transmissions, priced from Rs. 11.42 lakh to Rs. 17.42 lakh and Rs. 18.95 lakh to Rs. 19.19 lakh, respectively. The new Skoda Kushaq that will be launched this month will be available in the same engine and transmission combinations and likely carry similar prices.

The all-new Renault Duster’s last rival is the Honda Elevate, available only with a 1.5-litre petrol engine, in both manual and automatic configurations. Its prices range from Rs. 11.60 lakh to Rs. 16.57 lakh.
